The Boardwalk: Hover boards, an Electric Fat Bike & Pedal Car

We got a bit of a late start on Sunday morning and decided to head towards the beach before visiting the Picasso museum. which was free later in the afternoon.  As we walked towards the beach the guys were immediately drawn to the hover boards and electric fat bike rental place.  After some practice runs, we were hooked and ended up renting rides to explore the boardwalk area along the Mediterranean.  It was a fun and unique way to spend an hour and everyone had a great time.  However, by the time we made it to the Picasso museum, we realized we were not the only ones wanting to take advantage of the free-entry, and the reality was we didn’t have time to wait in the line before we headed to church, so we grabbed a quick bite to eat instead.

Watch out - these 3 are hover boarding the Barcelona boardwalk
Electric car of sorts
Electric Fat bike that gets up to 40 km/h!!
We visited the International Church of Barcelona for their evening service.  This was a treat to worship in English and get to know Brandi and John and hear their hearts for this church and the people of Barcelona, as we visited with them about their connections with River Valley, and how we’d learned of them while we were in Egypt and Valencia.  We wish we'd been able to connect with them more as we loved their enthusiasm! We trust that someday we will meet again.

Earlier in the day, we'd excitedly made reservations at a Portugese restaurant near La Sagrada Familia that had peri-peri items on their menu.  Unfortunately, there was only one item with peri peri and it didn’t taste anything like what we had hoped, and the overall meal wasn’t very good.  However, it was a treat to see La Sagrada Familia all lit up at night before we planned to tour the inside in a couple of days.
La Sagrada Familia lit up at night!
