Visits to REI

This week we made two runs to REI to get some gear. Here's a link to our gear ideas. Tough to think about what type of pack one wants to commit to for an entire year. Ideally we want to carry-on our bags as much as possible but that won't always be feasible. The stores clerks are a bit in awe of our plans but certainly encouraging and helpful - I love REI!. After two runs and two internet orders all our packs have now been purchased. Mom even packed up her entire bag with new packing cubes and wore into my office proudly announcing "I did it!"

A few days later we returned Gs pack for a different one. More comfortable and a good trade. $6 cheaper too!

Fast forward a few more days and #3s pack arrived in the mail. He's happy.
